Renew your lease on life.

Sign up today and don’t delay!!

That’s not just a line I wrote for today’s blog post. It’s something I wholeheartedly believe…especially now.

Yesterday was almost it for me. I was blessed enough to have two complete strangers save my life. Something like that changes a person.

You can either treat it as a coincidence or as a miracle. I chose the second option. It was a wake-up call to literally renew my lease on life.

I believe there are defining moments in our lives when we have to stop and assess where we’ve been headed – is it in the direction we want to go? And, do we know exactly where that is?

I was never much for making a plan and sticking to it. I’ve always kept some vague notion of what I wanted in the back of my mind, but manifesting was not my strong suit. I guess that’s why I write about it so much. I figure I can keep reminding myself to do it and I get tremendous pleasure from hearing all the good news from the peeps who actually follow the advice.

So, here I am ready to begin anew. Are you with me? Join me for one life-defining assignment in today’s Baby Step and get ready to sign up for the adventure of a lifetime.

BABY STEP

As an apartment dweller, every year I must make a decision as to whether or not I want to renew my lease. In essence, l have to ask myself some questions: Am I happy where I am? Can I afford to stay here? Do I love my neighbors, the staff, the scenery? Is this what I want? Essentially, I sign a contract with the complex to remain. I can break an apartment lease, but there will be consequences involved. It’s not impossible, just inconvenient. So, by taking a moment to decide before acting saves me from those inconveniences.

To renew your lease on life also means to make a commitment. Scary word. Somehow it implies that we are stuck with that decision forever. Well, we’re not. We can tweak and adjust and change as we go.

But, we DO have to commit to something meaningful in order to move forward.

Otherwise, we’re just roaming around in a dark room feeling along the walls and hoping to stumble upon a light switch. I think there’s a better – and certainly more direct – way.

Let’s consider today’s Baby Step instead:

Make a commitment right now to something that will improve your life. Write it down and tell yourself you will see it through to the end.

  • It can be super practical…like laying out your clothes the night before so you don’t have to scramble for something to wear in the morning.

  • It can be very ordinary…like making decisions about paperwork as soon as you receive it.

  • It can be monumental…like becoming a transformer:

transforming your old belief system to transform your mindset to transform your thoughts to transform your feelings to transform your actions to transform your outcome.

Transforming certainly takes work. But, as I’ve told you a billion times before, YOU ARE WORTH THE EFFORT. Because who else is going to improve your life? It can’t be done for you. It’s something you figure out as you go. I know you can do this. You’re smart. You’re strong. You’re brave. And you are certainly capable.

In fact, lots of tips, techniques and tools have been presented to you during this entire challenge. Get access to all of them HERE.

Then make another commitment and see it through. And so on and so on. Before you know it, you’ll be living your best life, one small commitment at a time.
