I created this 90-day challenge because something happened in my own life that made me face the fact that I needed to make some major changes in my life if I wanted to live a better one. Rather than wallowing in my own misery (#put down the chips) and blaming myself for making the same poor choices over and over and over again, I decided to rise to the challenge instead. Are you with me?

So…I'm actually participating with you in real time. And, I'm creating new and proven content as we go. (PS when you share your results, I can make even more improvements) Because one thing I know for sure:

If you ignore whatever it is that’s problematic in your life, it will only get worse.

Ignorance is most definitely not bliss. Ignorance is putting it off until later because either:

A) You don’t know what to do about it and you’re scared.

OR

B) You do know what to do about it and you’re even more scared.

That’s okay. It’s all good. Either way, you realize something has to be done. My goal is to help you figure out the best - and least painful - way to do just that.

Don’t get me wrong. This will require change. And, as I’ve said 827 billion times already…

Change requires effort. But I believe you, my friend, are worth the effort.

Hopefully, you will soon feel the same way. And, I’ll be there to support you and nudge you and cheer you on every baby step of the way!

As I explained in several blog posts, as well as in some of the email messages you may have missed, making change (besides taking effort) requires sacrifice. I don’t mean sacrifice in the “Whoa is me!” kind of way. I define sacrifice as an exchange of energy. I’m letting go of what’s been holding me back, even if I mistakenly convinced myself I needed it. In return, I am receiving something way, way, way, way, way (get the point?) better. So don’t feel like something’s being taken from you. Feel instead, like you’re lightening your load.

There is a world of difference between sacrifice and deprivation.

SACRIFICE is intended for the greater good. It’s when you willingly give up one thing now to gain something of greater reward later. Quite possibly for the first time ever, we are making sacrifices for ourselves. We’re actively giving up repetitive patterns in our behavior (#habits) that no longer serve us.

DEPRIVATION, on the other hand, is a form of self-punishment. It’s where you deny yourself joy and peace and abundance because you believe you did something wrong.

BUT, YOU DIDN’T DO ANYTHING WRONG!!!

None of us did. We simply didn’t have the means or the motivation or, most likely, the mindset to do better at the time. Because even if we knew better (#Maya Angelou) we were not yet capable of doing better. Now, together, we are. We’re able to accomplish our goals by overcoming our obstacles. Take a deep breath and let's...
