Baby Step 37 to Fall into Better Habits
PART 2 OF 5 - The second C: Do not condemn.
Condemn is a pretty strong word, but we’ve all felt the sting of being chastised. And, it definitely ain’t fun. Yet, we can take a look at the situation in a way that can benefit us and move us closer to our goal of living an even more awesome life.
How? I’m glad you asked. In fact, the answer is today’s Baby Step.
The next time you feel belittled or beaten down, ask yourself these 2 questions:
Do I believe what they are saying about me right now is true?
Is any part of what they are saying about me accurate?
Then proceed with these 2 assessments:
If it’s absolutely not true, what can I do to defuse the situation? Because obviously, they're having a rough time.
If it's true, even a little bit, what can I do to improve? Choose to see this as an opportunity to either…
Master a skill
Take a relationship to an even higher level
Develop a new mindset
Embrace an opportunity
