Thanks giving Is a year-round event. It’s not reserved for the fourth Thursday of November. Neither is enjoying a large slice of pie, by the way.

So, let’s be thank-full every day.

Because there is a world of difference between saying thank you and being thankful.

  • Thank you is a common courtesy extended when you are given something, typically a gift or a word of praise.

  • Thankfulness, on the other hand, is an expression of love that flows directly from your heart to theirs.

Remaining in a state of giving thanks requires some mindfulness, a little humility and a lot of practice. Let’s start right now with today’s Baby Step.

BABY STEP

Be thank-full.

Don’t just say thank you, mean it. A great daily practice is to express your thanks every morning upon waking and every evening before bed. Plus a billion times in between wouldn’t hurt either.

Start simply by expressing gratitude for those you love, then add the unique experiences of that particular day. Because, as I’ve said a billion times before, the more you show gratitude for something, the more of it will show up in your life.

The following mantra is a prayer I repeat daily. I also include a list of experiences I treasure and a host of specific people for whom I am grateful. Plus I send Love and Light to all my loved ones, to my peeps and to those who may need a little extra support that day. Here it is - consider it your new Baby Step thank-full mantra:

Thank you, God, for all I've been given.

Thank you for all I have now.

Thank you for all the amazing experiences yet to come.

And, thank you for all the awesome peeps in my life!

PS I give thanks for each of you every day. And, I wish you a bountiful harvest of all things wonderful and good all the years of your life. -Deb :)
