This meditation is a timeless recording and can be of benefit to you whether or not there is a full moon outside your window. It’s all about the vibe, not the timing.
This Cold Full Moon reminds us to stay cool…especially since we’re still in the tail end of Mercury Retrograde. It’s yet another opportunity to be mindful of your current circumstances and to be open to improving them. Just as Pa and Ma and Half-Pint prepared for a long, cold winter on the prairie and the barrenness of the land, we must prepare for this period of barrenness in our minds.
You see, winter is a time to pause and take stock of the bounty of your harvest. Because whether or not your harvest was bountiful, winter comes nonetheless. Winter is also an opportunity to prove to ourselves that we can withstand long periods of time where the excitement and activity and frantic pace of the holidays are no longer available. Since we’re thrown into a bit of a lull, we’ll see it as a quiet, reflective, self-aware period. Many people are uncomfortable with this state. We tend to complain about the busy-ness of the holidays, but in reality, it’s a great distraction. Being busy is a perfectly acceptable excuse we use to avoid becoming more aware of what’s going in within ourselves and our thoughts and our emotions and all the baggage that brings. This is the perfect time to journal how you feel because these are clues leading you to improvement. In the end, the only thing that matters is this:
What does my Soul want for me?

That’s a challenging question to answer, but answer it we must. So sit. Be still. Be quiet. Be mindful. Be comfortable and confident enough to allow everything to surface. You can do this. Do you know why?
Because you know EVERYTHING is temporary.
These circumstances will pass. These emotions will pass. These memories will pass. This turmoil will pass.
IF WE ALLOW THEM TO PASS.
So, acknowledge they are there. Find out what they want. Take a Baby Step forward. Then another and another and another. Let’s begin with 2 simple steps…
Document your journey. When you keep a thought journal it becomes a road map.
Then continue to do better so you can know better so you can feel better so you can be better.
You got this and I’m here for you. Together, when Winter ends, we will step into Spring refreshed, renewed, revitalized and ready to plant the seeds for an even more awesome life.
