We never know what’s going to happen

Life is a roller coaster

We never know what’s going to happen. One minute a teeny, tiny woman in a bun is purging her piles of clutter and the next she’s pacing the hospital floor praying for her child’s life.

That’s Life. It’s a crazy, unpredictable, emotional roller coaster ride of a time. And, we have two ways in which we can participate in this sometimes maddening, always interesting circus:

We can fight it and go kicking and screaming and complaining all the way.

Or

We can count our blessings and show up to witness the miracles that happen every day.

I can only speak for myself, but I know which one I’m choosing. Because when we are thrust into a life-or-death situation, our priorities suddenly become crystal clear. And, here’s the great news…

We don’t need to be in the midst of peril in order to have that clarity.

In fact, I’ve got some simple tips about how to maintain that kind of confidence in today’s Baby Step.

BABY STEP

Life is unpredictable. Practice these Baby Steps to soothe the stress of uncertainty by reminding ourselves what we CAN do:

  • We can decide right here and right now that no matter what happens, we’ll be ok.

  • We can choose our priorities and make decisions based on them.

  • We can remember that we’ll know what to do when the time comes.

  • We can 10000% trust our intuition.

  • We can continually improve our mindset and point it toward what’s going well.

  • We can embrace all that Life has to teach us and learn from it.

  • We can turn struggles into strength.

  • We can be grateful for all the peeps we’ve been blessed to take this wild ride with.

  • We can know, truly know, that we are always Divinely guided and all we need do is be still to remember that we are powerful beyond measure.

  • We can keep reading these endlessly entertaining and immensely inspirational blog posts to bring us back from the edge of insanity.

  • We can realize we are not alone. We have each other and that’s what makes everything so much better.

Thank you, my peeps, for your prayers and for your support and for your love. As I close one chapter of my life, I am eager to see what shows up in the next. And, I will be bringing you along with me every Baby Step of the way. Read on...

FUN FRIDAY OLYMPIC CHALLENGE

During the month of August, I am taking some time to refresh. In fact, the meaning of the word August is to be “worthy of reverence and respect.” And, I am suggesting you also take the time to show reverence and admiration and love for yourself for the entire month of August.

Like the 5 Olympic rings, there are 5 Fridays in August. Make a date on your calendar for a weekly “event.” Here are some suggestions to begin today:

  • Visit a new park or go someplace you’ve never been.

  • Take yourself out for your favorite treat.

  • Give yourself an at-home spa treatment.

  • Do something you absolutely love doing for the fun of it.

  • Get back into a long-forgotten hobby.

  • Drop me an email and let me know about the amazing life changes you've made.

  • Put on some great tunes and dance.

  • Start training for the next Summer Olympics. Well, maybe not that. But, you get the point.

Me? I’ll be working on some awesome projects scheduled to start next month, like this...

"FALL FRESH" FYI

Even though I'm on a short hiatus, I'll be back in September when I’m “Fall Fresh” and I’ll begin a new DDD segment, begin to build a new online community and be ready for a new adventure!

In the meantime, here’s what you can continue to expect from me…

  1. I will keep writing DDD messages and they will keep showing up in your inbox Monday through Friday. The entire month of August will contain my favorite affirmations from my ten years of teaching Qigong. (Don’t get the daily emails? Sign up for free HERE)

  2. I will pop up on social media here and there as I have something I wish to share (#channeling Dr Seuss right now). So check for links in the DDD messages. Plus, if you subscribe to me on YouTube, you'll be the first to see new videos.

  3. I will continue to send you the most positive, the most loving, the most joy-filled energy you can imagine each and every day.

Namaste.
