She’s what I’m living for

I turn 34 today, and in honor of that, I decided that I’d give my birthday a theme for the year. According to Google, the spiritual meaning of the number 34 is about new beginnings, growth, and expansion. What better way to honor my age than to focus on the meaning behind said age?

So, I will spend this next year dedicated to my growth and excited for new beginnings. Ironically enough, I think my body felt the energy leading up to this new age. I’m six weeks into a Pilates challenge, something I’ve never done before. Apparently, I felt this growth to the core (pun very much intended). That’s the strength within the deeper side of things.

Even when we’re not paying attention, the energy we don’t acknowledge still exists.

In conclusion, I’m excited for this year and new chapter waiting to be written. Enjoy a little poem I threw together…

Hello, 34!

I know you’re here to show me more.

As I walk through this door,

I will nourish myself…into my cup I shall pour.

Enjoy all the moments, even when they’re a chore.

Become the woman that I adore, despite the things I’ve had to endure.

I know I’m winning, though I’m not keeping score.

I just know I’m doing better than I was before.

I once was drowning, but now I’m on shore.

And proud of the woman who got me to 34.

She did it tired, she did it sore.

She made a way to this new age I can now explore.

And she’s what I’m living for.
