Manifesting is like finding something you've lost. Trust me, I’m an expert in this department!
So, here’s what I know:
It will show up only when this happens.
Join me for today's Baby Step, and before you know it, you’ll be manifesting like a pro.

BABY STEP
11 years ago today my adorable niece was born. If you've been attending my Qigong class for a while, you've probably met her (short, cute, big blue eyes). She's been popping in here and there since she was two. She's even helped me lead the class...there's nothing cuter than a toddler reciting affirmations!
She’s always a welcome sight because everyone loves her off-the-charts-awesome energy.
Anyways, back to the point of today's post. I bought her a pair of earrings two months ago for her birthday. I put them away "someplace safe" (#can you relate) for her birthday. Well, they were safe alright. In fact, I did such a good job of it that they remained hidden until yesterday.
I couldn’t understand why I couldn’t find them. I knew exactly where I put them – in a basket I keep with current stuff I have to do (it’s filled with a bunch of folders, cards to fill out and such). I was frantic. I looked everywhere…including rummaging through that basket a dozen times or so. I even went so far as to look up the receipt because I was starting to believe I never actually bought them.
Then one day after searching yet again the same place I swore I put it, I told myself this...
In fact, it's a tool I'll teach you as today's Baby Step that will help your wishes come true (even if it’s not your birthday):
About a week ago, I decided to make peace with possibly never finding those earrings again. Instead, I went out and purchased a different gift and I told the Universe this:
“Whether or not these earrings show up, I’m still choosing for her to have the best birthday ever! But, it would be even better if they did.”
And that was that. I let it go. Because the Universe works in mysterious ways, but it does follow patterns. One of them is this…
Once you stop thinking about it that's when it shows up.
So yesterday as I was completing a project I’d been avoiding (#boring as hell), I pulled out a folder containing the information I needed, and voila, there they were. The earrings had fallen inside the folder. What are the odds of that happening? That’s why I didn’t see them when I looked in the basket. Crazy, right?
What are the lessons to be learned, my peeps?
Obsessing, ruminating, panicking, overthinking, worrying about, stressing over what you can’t find is NEVER helpful. In fact, it makes the situation worse because now you can’t think clearly AND you still can’t find what you’re searching for.
If you don’t procrastinate to begin with, you’ll probably lose less stuff AND you’ll feel awesome about getting things done.
Now, go grab a candle and make a wish. Then let the outcome go as if it were something you’ve lost :)
PS Next, join me for an instant manifestation today. Let’s both do something we’ve been postponing. Now, where did I put that basket???
