If you want a better life, simply change your mind.
Your awesome future awaits…
This week, we’ll be deciding to give ourselves a little grace and be chill with the chaos our emotions and thoughts can sometimes bring.
It’s extremely easy to allow old habits to tamper with our new intentions. When anger or frustration or worry are on autopilot, a perfectly good idea can be squashed in an instant. Then, an entire series of events combine to form the perfect storm which then stops us in our tracks and keeps us stuck.
So, what can we do about this? Well, I’ll tell you what we can’t do…
We can’t stop our thoughts.
We can’t stop our emotions.
We can’t change our current circumstances.
We can’t change other people (Lord knows I’ve tried!).
We can’t prevent Life from happening.
Don’t be discouraged, though. All of that pales in comparison to what we CAN do…
We CAN change our mindset in an instant.
And, our mindset is the driving factor in all we do.
Here’s what I mean:
Scenario 1: A woman loses her job.
She worries about how she will survive. She thinks of all the worst-case scenarios. She goes to bed with a heavy heart. She feels paralyzed by fear.
Scenario 2: A woman loses her job.
She celebrates because she feels drained every day by that toxic work environment. She thinks of all the possibilities. She goes to bed eager to begin her first day of freedom in the morning. She feels uplifted and inspired. (That’s because she probably reads her DDD messages every day.)
It’s all about how we DECIDE to look at the situation.

We can’t ignore what’s going on. We can’t make it go away. We can’t conjure up a genie and change our circumstances. But, we CAN DECIDE to see things in a new light so we don’t end up lost in the dark.
Ready to flip the switch? Keep practicing those daily mantras and remember how powerful you are in THIS moment.
