How do you turn anger into action? This is your new goal:
Don’t get mad, get moving.

And, how exactly do you do that?
Anger produces adrenaline. Adrenaline gives us an extreme boost of energy. Energy is what we are made of and what mobilizes us. Energy is limitless and is always available to us.
So, since those statements are true, then why not just cut out the middleman? Why do we think we need anger to get us going? We can simply tap into our unlimited inner power source instead.
Bonus: we’ll save ourselves from soul-crushing stress and probably live longer, too.
Let’s work on that together in today’s Baby Step.
BABY STEP
Since we know we are powerful beyond measure, let’s access our unlimited potential and finally use our emotions as they were intended…as a guide, not as a life sentence.
Emotions are not the enemy. They are not showing up to tease or punish us. They are merely monitoring our inner thoughts. Consider them like the little, consistent blips on a heart monitoring device. When the heart is beating naturally, the blips are smooth and consistent. When we feel agitated, the blips get more intense. They are simply warning us to check our current status.

Today’s Baby Step is super simple…
Every time an emotion pops up that seems over the top or way too habitual or sends you spiraling out of control, ask yourself this one question:
What’s the blip?
Are these thoughts and emotions valid?
If they are…what can you do about them?
If they’re not...what can you do to get your blip back to normal?
How can you REFRAIN from falling into old habits?
Keep tuning in to your DDD messages and this blog as we address these questions in more detail, but for now, take note and be aware.
Knowledge is power.
PS To be prepared for the inevitable outburst, have "What's the blip?" saved somewhere you can access it when your brain has gone rogue. You'll notice an almost immediate calming effect because you'll be taking yourself out of that downward spiral simply by asking that one question.
