If you want to know how to hit the jackpot in life (aka manifest your wildest dreams), then you must first realize this…

FACT: Epiphanies come at the oddest of times.

Since the end of last year, I’ve been planning out my vision board. You’d think my goal was inventing time travel (#there’s probably an app for that) with the amount of effort and thought I’ve put into it thus far. For some reason, this pleasant endeavor I normally look forward to had turned into a chore I’d now come to dread.

WHY? Well, I didn’t know. Until this happened…

I was playing cards with my baby girl and her boyfriend. At the same time, I was on her tablet (#kinda rude) playing a game I’ve come to enjoy way too much (#addicted). Ironically, I won nearly every hand of rummy and I ended up as the big winner of the night. Rare. Very freakin’ rare.

The following morning, I woke with a smile on my face because of all the fun we’d had. I thought about how I’d won so effortlessly and without a smidge of competition. Then my beautiful brain immediately made this connection: I wasn’t giving my full attention to the card game because I was so obsessed with the other game I was playing, Hmmm…

Then the epiphany came rushing in…

MANIFESTING WORKS THE SAME WAY.

Mind blown.

You see, my vision board for 2025 had become so painful to complete because I’d been giving it way too much attention. I was so focused on what was on there and how I would achieve all those goals that my mind immediately shut down and said “Nope, not today.”

Now, making plans for the future has become easy for me. I only have one goal, after all. And when I focus on a singular purpose then the outcome happens naturally – without force or worry or doubt or 24/7 attention.

And, what is that one goal I have? It’s simple.

TO HAVE FUN

That’s it. I want to discover enjoyment in all experiences of my life. And Lord knows we can all use a little more fun in our lives, can’t we?

So, if you’re with me then let’s practice this mantra I’ve written (and now follow) as we thrive in ’25:

Awesome things will come while I’m busy having fun.
