This is the antidote

I figured out how to crush worry. The antidote is in today’s Baby Step.
But, first, a word about worry. Here is what I know to be true:
Worry makes EVERYTHING worse.
There has never been anyone throughout history who said worry made their situation a success. Worry drains you. It zaps your energy and messes with your mindset. Worry makes you believe you are helpless, which is most definitely NOT true. You are the most powerful being on the planet.
So, let’s use those powers for good. Let’s choose to view worry in a new light. Let’s put this otherwise useless emotion to work FOR us, not against us. Here’s how:
Realize that worry leaves clues. It’s showing up to warn you about something.
Imagine hearing it alerting you, like the old robot from Lost in Space.

The moment worry starts to creep into your belly and gives you that uneasy feeling, take a moment to recognize the familiar sensation. Then, rather than running all the doomsday footage stored in your brain, try today’s Baby Step instead.
BABY STEP
There is only one way to crush the anxiety you feel every time something goes sideways. And, since just about everything in the world is out of our control, things go sideways quite often. What’s a mere mortal to do? Here’s the cure…
The antidote to worry is CONFIDENCE.
I know. I know. Easier said than done. But, not really. Check out how you can amp up your confidence with this Baby Step:
The instant you feel worried or anxious or stressed about a situation you think is impossible, stop before your brain draws you into a fast-moving downward spiral.
Take a deep breath and let your BRAIN relax.
Remind yourself that 99.99999999% of the time whatever you are worrying about is not actually happening in the present moment. It’s a reaction to something currently happening that your brain associates with something that’s happened before and ended badly.
Take another deep breath and let your BODY relax.
Tune into what worry is trying to tell you. It’s actually trying to prevent you from making the same poor choices. Knowing that, you can choose to take different steps this time. For example, you can:
-Intend a better outcome this time.
-Seek Divine guidance.
-Meditate on a solution.
-Get in touch with Mother Nature.
-Journal about the situation.
Do whatever makes you happy to draw yourself into an improved mindset so the result this time is better. Take another deep breath and let your EMOTIONS relax.
Every time you practice these quick, simple, easy-to-do steps you are building your confidence muscle. Each time you catch yourself before you fall into old patterns, you get stronger, smarter and better at handling whatever comes your way.
And it all happens one Baby Step at a time.
