MONDAY

Let’s kick off this week by choosing to FREE ourselves from WORRY. Because worry is a useless emotion. It’s the act of trying to (and never being able to) accurately predict the future. No one can do that. So why even try? Why not put that energy to much better use?

Instead, why not imagine the outcome you’d like? Even if it doesn’t show up exactly as you thought it would, at least you’ve got a better mindset about the result.

First, remind yourself of this Baby Step…

FREEDOM counteracts worry.

Next, practice the affirmation I wrote to reinforce this concept…

I have the FREEDOM to choose the outcome I desire.

TUESDAY

Let’s face it. We’ve all been down in the dumps a time or two. And, when those low points involve regret over what we did, or sometimes worse, what we didn’t do then it can be challenging to get back up on a high vibe.

But here’s what I’ve learned after many lulls in my life:

  • We can’t change the past.

  • We can’t foretell the future.

  • So that only leaves us with the present.

And this moment is where our power exists. We are FREE to change how we feel about our past and how we think about our future right N-O-W.

In the blink of an eye, we can change our perspective. And, that my friends, is our ultimate superpower.

So, for today’s Baby Step, remember this…

FREEDOM soothes sorrow.

Then, practice today’s affirmation…

My superpower is the FREEDOM to focus on what's going well.

Bonus tip: Remember my Color Coding series? Change your view by reminding yourself of this self-love mantra every time you see the color pink: “There is so much love here for me.”

WEDNESDAY

Don’t get me wrong, fear has its place. It’s a wonderful indicator that something’s not quite right. Fear lets us know when we are in actual danger. Fear also lets us know when we are in perceived danger.

The trick, then, is to know the difference. A great way to do that is to ask yourself this one question: “Am I really in danger or am I imagining this danger in my head?”

Because once you can answer that question with clarity and confidence, then you become unstoppable, limitless, fearless. And won’t you be a sight to behold as you glide by all that imaginary drama!

So, for today’s Baby Step, remember this…

FREEDOM walks right past fear.

I am FREE to determine what I believe.

THURSDAY

If you haven’t had an adventure in a while, don’t you think it’s time you did? What are you waiting for, an invitation? Well, here it is, as today's Baby Step…

FREEDOM initiates adventure.

So go have one – a big one, a small one, a planned one, a crazy one. It doesn’t matter. Just go and do something you don’t normally do and feel the FREEDOM in letting go of the daily grind even if it’s just for a 15-minute walk in a new neighborhood. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did :)

Then, practice today’s affirmation…

I am FREE to do as I damn well please.

FRIDAY

Who can’t use a little more joy? This topic is the perfect ending to a freedom-building week because…

FREEDOM sparks joy.

I was talking with my peeps the other day about the one affirmation I have used in every Qigong class I taught since I began ten years ago. Here’s a bit of trivia for you – it was also printed on my first business card (#Queen of Affirmations).

It’s also the secret recipe for perpetual bliss. How? Because this one sentence grants you permission to receive the joy you (all) deserve.

In fact, it’s today’s Baby Step. I believe it will be of infinite benefit to you, so repeat it every chance you get. And, before you know it, you’ll start to believe it, too…
