Clutter is like a cold.

Once you get that first sniffle, in a very short amount of time, you’re bombarded with countless other symptoms…and you feel like crap. Same with stuff. It starts with that one piece of unfiled paper then, before you know it, you’re surrounded by mountains of other paperwork....and you feel like crap.

Because, like a cold, clutter is contagious.

Soon enough, everyone you know has been affected by it. Then they’re sniffling (and piling) right along with you. And, as we all know, that is not a pretty sight.

What’s a crappy-feeling peep to do? Deal with the used paper the cold and the clutter create. Here are some tips for handling both:

FOR THE COLD

You can prevent the likelihood of getting sick by:

  • amping up your daily dose of vitamin C

  • focusing on habits to enhance a healthy and illness-free lifestyle (#take care of yourself)

  • washing your hands frequently

FOR THE CLUTTER

You can prevent the likelihood of getting surrounded by:

  • amping up your daily dose of filing

  • focusing on habits to enhance an organized and clutter-free lifestyle (#take care of your stuff)

  • purging your paperwork frequently

Once you commit to living clutter-free, you’ll quickly realize that it’s so much easier to deal with the clutter - or anything else for that matter - while it’s still manageable (aka in that moment).

Then you will experience powerfully positive results in your body, in your mind, in your heart, in your space and in your soul.

So, if you want to feel better fast, then go grab a trash bag and start right now. Remember, this is not a one-time project. This is a lifestyle adjustment. And, how do we make those big, overwhelming changes???
